    Furntech has won the 2017 Specialty Entrepreneurship Centre of the Year and the 2017 Dinah Adkins Centre of the Year at the 2017 INBIA Awards in Seattle, USA.

  • Carpentry 101 Course Durban
    Furntech Durban will be hosting a 12 week (Saturday) Carpentry 101 Course starting on 6 May 2017. The course seeks to equip woodworking enthusiasts with the techniques and know-how of producing a basic item of furniture.

    Our dedication to quality service delivery and our national footprint has resulted in the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority (FP & M SETA) recognizing Furntech as the Institute of Sectoral and Occupational Excellence for the industry.

    The two components which form Furntech’s integrated service are:

    • Business Technology Incubation of small and micro enterprises (SME’s)

    • Vocational Skills Development

    These services are available at all Furntech Centres which are spread around the country. Through these centres, Furntech is well positioned to fulfil its national mandate of improving skills levels in the industry, raising the level of global competitiveness, stimulating job and SME creation and transferring new technologies to industry partners.

    Furntech’s facilities offer a combination of training, business and technical support in the form of:

    • Business technology incubator space for entrepreneurs

    • Technical expertise for furniture production

    • Shared-use facilities with modern equipment
